Welcome to The Fancott Miniature Railway
The Oldest Miniature Railway located on the grounds of a Public House, The Fancott Miniature Railway (FMR) is a 7¼ inch miniature railway located in the gardens of The Fancott Public House near Toddington, Bedfordshire. There has been a railways on the grounds of The Fancott Pub for over half a century in one form or another.
Due to the very dry conditions there is now a steam ban in place. Until this is lifted we will continue running with our diesels, so pop along for a ride on the oldest pub garden miniature railway in all the kingdom. Open every weekend, bank holidays and Wednesdays during school holidays!
Occasionally we sit back and take a look at the wildlife at the railway. The caterpillar really caught our attention!! #miniaturerailway #wildlife
More track was delivered today and has been stored away in readiness for the development of our little railway! 👏☺️
Sadly the heat and VERY dry grass around the track means our steamie drivers have decided, for safety reason, not to take Davanna out today. We will, however, be taking Herbie, Dark Star and possibly Sammy! Still on track for a fun day at the Fancott!
We have some absolutely incredible volunteers! Kevin, Bill and Mark have been busy over the last few months building our new canopy at the station - a much welcome feature in this heat as it certainly keeps our carriages cool!
