The Oldest Miniature Railway located on the grounds of a Public House, The Fancott Miniature Railway (FMR) is a 7¼ inch miniature railway located in the gardens of The Fancott Public House near Toddington, Bedfordshire. There has been a railways on the grounds of The Fancott Pub for over half a century in one form or another.
SANTA’S COMING!! In December! But don’t wait to book your place or you’ll be disappointed. Santa will be coming to see us on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th December. Our Santa Specials start at 1pm. Just £10 per child and £5 per adult, which includes a Christmas gift from the big man himself! DM us to book your place! (Payment is in advance. Refunds are not given unless the railway has to cancel the event.)
HAPPY DAYS TO YOU ALL! THE STEAM BAN HAS BEEN LIFTED!! Thanks to the rain we had over the weekend we can now run our little steam loco, Davanna! We’re aiming to open our gates at 12.30 with the last train at 4.50. Make sure you come along for some fabulous steamie action at the oldest pub garden miniature railway in the kingdom!

What a rainy old day! Thank you to everyone who ventured out to the first day of our Scamp Invasion. The rain was so heavy, but the crew still got on with taking passengers out, double top and tailing to make it easier to get up the hill! After our running day our fantastic team of volunteers enjoyed a group BBQ to celebrate their amazing efforts, where we also had the chance to officially announce our new loco Peggy (Pippa) ready for the tracks! Alan, our loco builder, was presented with a builder’s plaque which will go on her tender, while we then handed over the key to Peggy to our driver trainer, Tony. It was a lovely day!! And welcoming the rain means we will very soon be welcome steam back to the railway too!
