The Oldest Miniature Railway located on the grounds of a Public House, The Fancott Miniature Railway (FMR) is a 7¼ inch miniature railway located in the gardens of The Fancott Public House near Toddington, Bedfordshire. There has been a railways on the grounds of The Fancott Pub for over 30 years in one form or another.
This came up on one of our volunteer’s timeline! We can’t quite figure out what they were doing - is it a dance? Is it a demonstration? Is it a deep discussion about decorating Herbie? And, did you spot the upside down chassis of Red Dwarf before Red Dwarf became Red Dwarf? 😃
Well done to our amazing volunteers who welcomed our visitors today as well as getting lots of jobs done!! Don’t forget, we’ll be open again at the weekend - 12.30-4.50 each day! See you then!
What better way to spend your Wednesday afternoon than with everyone’s favourite trains at the oldest pub garden miniature railway! Gates open at 12.30 with the last train at 3.50. Come along and ride the rails of history at our unique little location!
Another sunny day at the railway and we enjoyed top and tailing two Scamps! Make sure you head down on Wednesday for some half term fun!
