The Oldest Miniature Railway located on the grounds of a Public House, The Fancott Miniature Railway (FMR) is a 7¼ inch miniature railway located in the gardens of The Fancott Public House near Toddington, Bedfordshire. There has been a railways on the grounds of The Fancott Pub for over 30 years in one form or another.
Davanna’s now gone to bed and Sammy has come out to help Herbie take the last passengers round for the day! ☺️
Today we started with Herbie taking trains around. But part way through the afternoon Herbie decided not to move anymore! 🤭 So little Scamp, ‘Sammy’ came to the rescue, hauling our passenger trains for the rest of the afternoon - quite a task for a little engine, and the first time he’s been in charge of the passenger trains!! Go Sammy!!!
It’s going to be a scorcher of a weekend ahead of us, making it perfect for relaxing in a country pub garden and riding the rails of the oldest pub garden miniature railway! Please be patient as, in the expected heatwave, we want to take care of our amazing volunteers with regular rest breaks through the afternoon! Gates open at 12.30 with the last train at 4.50!
